Just a few minutes drive from the Salamis Bay Conti Resort Hotel, the historic city of Famagusta offers a great night out for all ages.
If you like to sit and enjoy a great meal in atmospheric surroundings, then head for the walled city. At night, the citizens spill into the streets again after the heat of the day, gossiping in cafes and strolling the narrow streets.
At some point in the evening, chances are that the younger crowd will start to disappear, and chances are they are heading for the one of the most popular clubs on the island, the Lion Gardens.
The Lion Gardens calls itself a disco, but in fact its facilities rival those of many major clubs in the Mediterranean. The massive dance floor covers 3500m², so there’s plenty of room for everyone. The light and sound systems are of international standard, and the club invites international djs to guests at special party nights all year round.
You’ll also find live bands playing here, from local groups to international artists, and the venue is very popular with locals celebrating weddings, engagements – or just having a great night out. The Lion Gardens also organise their own party nights, where everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
The 660 seat restaurant serves good food, and in the summer the tables spill out into the warm evening air, for excellent dining under the stars. Manager Osman Gazioglu’s menu includes both Turkish Cypriot and international dishes.
After a great night out in Famagusta, why not have a flutter in the casino at the Salamis Bay Conti Resort Hotel, or rest your tired dancing feet with a drink in the bars!
